Son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dodd. Entered service August 10, 1942 in the Marines. Received basic training at San Diego, California. Went overseas January 1943. Served in New Zealand. Returned to U.S. May 19, 1944. Later sailed for Okinawa and Luzon. Then to Iwo Jima in June, 1944. Was in battles on Iwo Jima and Tarawa. Killed on Iwo Jima and buried there. Rank: Private.
