Entered service February 24, 1943, being sent to Scott Field, Illinois; Camp Hulen, Texas; University of Louisiana, Baton Rouge, Louisiana; University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas; Camp Wolter, Texas; and Camp Van Dorn, Mississippi. Sailed overseas September 1944 being in European Theatre. Was hospitalized. Awarded Battle Star for Campaign in the encirclement of Aachen, Germany October 20, 1944. December 28, 1944 went to England. Was a mail clerk at University Center at Shrivenham, England. Was with 116th Infantry of the 29th Division in Battle of Rhineland. Left Southhampton, England, March 13, 1946, landed in New York, March 23, 1946. Discharged from Camp Mc Coy, Wisconsin as Technician.
