Son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Hamm, Born April 5, 1923. Entered service January 5, 1942 at Great Lakes, Illinois. Received training at New Orleans, Algiera, Louisiana. Overseas in Caribbean South American and North African Area, being a member of U.S. Navy Armed Guard Gun Crew aboard Liberty Ship transferring re-inforcements to advance troops in France. Discharged December 21, 1945. Rank: Coxswain.
