Son of Mr. and Mrs. Olin Husm. Entered service February 13, 1943 at Camp Grant. Illinois, Took his training at St. Petersburg. Florida; Drew Field, Tampa. Florida. Upon completion of course was retained as instructor in radar for one year. Then sent to Fort Monmouth, Red Bank, New Jersey for instruction in radio, then to New York City for teletype training. Sent overseas December 26, 1944. Participated in the battles of New Guinea, Southern Philippines and Luzon. Stationed in Manila. Discharged January 27, 1946 as Technical Sergeant.
