Son of Mr. and Mrs. Olin Husm. Entered service October 25. 1942. Trained at Nashville, Tennessee; Maxwell Field, Montgomery, Alabama; Souther Field, Americus, Georgia; Tyndall Field, Panama City, Florida; Selman Field, Monroe, Alabama. Upon completion of the course was retained as an instructor for one year; transferred to radar training at Victorville, California; then to Lincoln, Nebraska for crewing on B-29s; then to Davis-Monthan Field, Tucson. Arizona; then Topeka, Kansas. Sent overseas June 25, 1945 from Mather Field, California. Stationed at Tinian. Flew six combat missions over Japan and Formosa. Separated February 19, 1946 and is now a Reserve Officer. Rank: First Lieutenant.
