Trained at Fort Jackson, South Carolina; Camp Gordon, Georgia; Georgetown University, Washington, D.C.; Camp Swift, Austin, Texas. Sent overseas September 11. 1944. Drove on the Red Ball Express. Participated in the Roar River Campaign and Rhineland and Central Europe. Discharged January 14, 1946. Rank: Staff Sergeant
