Son of George Lyons. Entered service June 26, 1941. Received training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; Camp Mc Coy, Wisconsin; and Fort Knox, Kentucky. Served overseas in Southwest Pacific, Solomon's, Guadalcanal. Discharged October 15, 1945 at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri as Technician Fifth Grade.
