Son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Mc Clain. Entered service February 5, 1942 at Scott Field, Illinois. Received training at Camp Robinson, Arkansas; Camp Bowie, Texas; and Fort Worth, Texas. Left for overseas May 20, 1943. Served in Sicily, Rome, and France Returned to U.S. October 3, 1945. Discharged October 15, 1945 at Camp Grant, Illinois as Technician Fifth Grade.
