Son of Mrs. Ernest Loughary. Entered service January 20, 1943 at Peoria, Illinois. Received training at Camp Kearns, Utah; Gowen Field, Boise, Idaho; Peterson Field, Colorado Springs. Colorado; and Fort Lawton, Seattle, Washington. Went overseas November 14, 1944. Engagements at Tinian, Mariana Island. Awarded Two Overseas Service Bars, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Ribbon With Three Bronze Battle Stars, Good Conduct Medal, and World War II Victory Medal. Returned to U.S. December 22, 1945. Discharged January 7, 1946 from Camp Grant, Illinois as Staff Sergeant.
