Son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Perry. Entered service February 24, 1943 at Peoria, Illinois. Received training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, Camp Gordon, Georgia, and Camp Campbell, Kentucky. Was sent overseas August 27, 1944. Was in the Theater of European Operation with General Patton's Army. Awarded two overseas service bars. American Campaign Medal, African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with four Bronze BattleStars, Good Conduct Medal, Bronze, Star Medal, and World War II Victory Medal. Returned to U.S. December 25, 1945. Discharged February 14, 1946 from Camp Grant, Illinois as Technician Fifth Grade.
