Son of Mrs. Betty Roberts. Entered service April 10, 1941 at Peoria, Illinois. Received training at Camp Croft, South Carolina; Camp Forest, Tennessee. Overseas to Hawaiian Islands, Southwest Pacific and New Guinea. Battles and Campaigns were New Guinea and Luzon, Wounded in action in Luzon May 1, 1945. Discharged October 19, 1945 from Fort Sheridan, Illinois as Technician Fifth Grade.
