Son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ryan. Entered service February 7, 1945 at Fort Sheridan, Illinois in the Army Infantry. Received training at Fort Knox, Kentucky; Fort Ord, California. Left August 26. 1945 for Manila, Philippines on USS Tazewell. Discharged November 3, 1946 as Technician Fourth Grade.
