Son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Stewart. Entered Service October 6, 1943 in the Navy. Received training at Farragut, Idaho and New London, Connecticut. Went overseas December 1944, attached to Submarine Division in Southwest Pacific until return in October 1945. On USS Howard W. Gilmore from January 1946until discharged April 12, 1946 as Seaman First Glass.
