Son of Mr. and Mrs. James Stillwell. Entered service September 9, 1943 in the Marines. Received training at San Diego, California; U.S.T. Stalim, Newport, Rhode Island; attended Electrician's Mate School, Cherry Point; South Carolina and Newport, Arkansas. Went overseas August 18, 1945 for Pacific. Served in Malabang, Mindanao, Philippines Island, Eva Islands, Hawaiian Islands. Returned to U.S. October 1945. Discharged August 1946 at Cherry Point, North Carolina as Corporal.
