Son of Mrs. Ethel Beatty. Entered U.S. Marines September 7. 1942. Received training at San Diego, California; Logan, Utah; Ward Island, Corpus Christi, Texas; Lomah, Wisconsin; Cherry Point, North Carolina; Camp Miramar, San Diego, California; Santa Barbara, California. Went overseas June 1945. Served in Pacific Area and Japan. Returned to U.S. after six months overseas to El Toro Marine Corp Air Station at Santa Anna, California. Re-enlisted March 22, 1946 and is now stationed at San Diego, California. Rank: Master Sergeant.
