Son of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Tannahill. Entered service March 1941 at Scott Field, Illinois, Received training at Fort Lewis, Washington; Camp Adair, Oregon. Went overseas to England February 1944. Wounded in France. Returned to U.S. January 1945 at New York. Sent to Chicks General Hospital. Clinton, Iowa; Percy Jones Hospital; Battle Creek, Michigan April 1945. Discharged 1946.
