Son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Armstrong. Entered service December 27, 1939 in Army Air Corps. Received training at Relly Field, San Antonio, Texas; Lake Charles, Louisiana; Aloe Field, Victoria, Texas. Received discharge September 20, 1945. Re-enlisted September 21, 1945. Having been a lab technician in an Air Photo Unit, was sent to Roswell, New Mexico where some of preliminary arrangements were made for Bikini test. In April, 1946 was sent to Kwajalein where preparations were continued. This was in regard to Atomic Bomb test on Bikini in Marshal l Islands. Still in service as Technician Sergeant.
