Entered service at Navy Pier, Chicago, Illinois December 1941 for boot training. Sent to Norfolk, Virginia. Served in both Atlantic and Pacific Areas. Re-enlisted for three years July 1945. On July 7th was home on leave from U.S.S. Huntington, docked at Philadelphia, and was killed in an auto accident. Rank: BM 2/c.
