Son of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Brown. Entered Service with the U.S. Navy October 14, 1943 and was sent to Farragut, Idaho. Completing boot training, was sent to Navy Radio School, Indianapolis, Indiana, completed a six month course of Radio. Left U.S. November 9, 1944 for overseas duty, being assigned to U.S.S. LCS 29. Was in the Landings of Palaevan, Mindanao Cebu Negros, Bohol and Pauay in the Philippines and the Invasion of ****. Was in the occupation forces of Jinsne, Korea, Tientaiu and Tsingtao, China. Arrived back in the States February 22, 1946. Discharged April 21, 1946 from Chicago, Illinois as RM ****.
