Participated in action against enemy at Tarawa, Gilbert Island, from November 20, 1943 to November 25, 1943; Saipan, Marianas Islands, June 18, 1944 to July 15, 1944; Guam, Marianas Islands, July 21, 1944 to August 15, 1944; Iwo Jima, Volcano, Island, February 22, 1945 to March 16, 1945. Received Good Conduct Medal. Discharged December 13, 1945 from Great Lakes, Illinois as Private First Class.
