Grandson of Mrs. E. C. Everett. Entered service July 13, 1942, Fort Crook, Nebraska. Was in Various Camps in States. From August 2 to December 7, 1942, attended Airplane Mechanics School, Sheppard Field, Wichita Falls, Texas. Graduated with Distinction from Airplane Mechanics Course, November 26, 1942; December 10, 1942 to January 12, 1943, attended Martin Bomber Factory School, Middle River, Maryland; January 14 to February 25, 1943, attended Gunnery School, Fort Myers, Florida; February 20, 1943 received Silver Wings; June 6 to August 5, 1943 sent to Bigg's Field, El Paso, Texas for Combat Training; On August 30, 1943, flew to Bangor, Maine; From there left for overseas enroute to England. Arrived in Iceland September 1, 1943. Killed September 15, 1943 in European Area (Scotland). It is believed whole crew was killed. Buried in Brookwood Cemetery, just outside of London.
