Entered service with the Navy December 7, 1943. Completed boot training at Great lakes, Illinois on January 27, 1944. Entered Radio School at Chicago in February, graduating July 7, 1944. Sailed from New York July 17. Served in the European Theatre for eight months. After a thirty day leave in the States, he served nine months in the Pacific Theater. Discharged December 23, 1945 from Great Lakes, Illinois as Pharmacist's Mate Third Class.
